Set Me Free began with a moment of realisation on a beach in Mauritius. What should have been idyllic was scattered with plastic debris—bottle caps, toothbrushes, and bags. That day, I knew I wanted to make a difference: clothing that respects the planet, made thoughtfully and without excess.

Our philosophy is simple: fewer pieces, made with care, worn often, and kept for years. Over time, Set Me Free has grown into a slow fashion brand rooted in comfort, timeless style, and mindful production.

Everything starts with hemp. Strong, breathable, and naturally low-impact, it grows quickly, needs minimal water, and softens beautifully over time. I personally visit the fabric manufacturers and workshops, knowing the people and processes behind each garment. Our clothing is made in small runs — in a women-led atelier in India and occasionally with local tailors in Mauritius. Socks and Tencel™ Lyocell underwear are made with partners who share our values of quality, ethical production, and thoughtful sourcing.
